Season Four: Ultimate Spider-Man vs The Sinster 6 is the fourth and final season

Synopsis[]

As the fourth and final season begins, Doctor Octopus allies himself with Arnim Zola and HYDRA before launching an attack on the Tri-Carrier and joining forces with Kraven the Hunter. To stop them from taking over New York, Spider-Man forms a new version of the Web-Warriors, consisting of Scarlet Spider, Agent Venom and Iron Spider. Doc Ock tries to turn Norman Osborn back into the Green Goblin, but finds the reformed villain has injected himself with an anti-Goblin serum. Octopus instead uses the Siege Perilous to bring the Ultimate Goblin from the universe of Miles Morales, and a result Miles himself and recruits him. Doc Ock sends Vulture to eliminate Norman, but Harry Osborn becomes "Patrioteer" and saves him. Doc Ock bribes the reformed Rhino to continue spying for him at S.H.I.E.L.D., and Spider-Man and the Web Warriors save Agent Venom when Doc Ock and Kraven kidnap him. After Doc Ock briefly takes control of Sandman, Spider-Man rescues Nick Fury from Hydro-Man. Doc Ock attacks the Tri-Carrier with his new team where Scarlet Spider exposes Spider-Man's identity and they become the Sinister Seven: their leader Doc Ock, Kraven, Scarlet Spider, Ultimate Goblin, Electro, Rhino and Hydro-Man. Doc Ock betrays Arnim Zola and kidnaps Aunt May, but Scarlet Spider has a change of heart and seemingly sacrifices himself to defeat Doc Ock. Crossbones and Morbius the Living Vampire resurrect Carnage, and while Spider-Man fights Carnage, Doc Ock creates the Anti-Venom Symbiote, which later bonds with Patrioteer. Harry breaks free, and while Carnage is seemingly destroyed by Mary Jane Watson, it is revealed it has bonded with her. When the Siege Perilous is destroyed, Spider-Man and Miles Morales travel through the Multiverse to collect it's shards, but confront an evil version of Spider-Man, Wolf Spider, who plans to take the shards for himself. They find the final shard in Miles' universe with help from an alternate Spider-Woman, but Wolf Spider steals them all. Spider-Man tricks him into absorbing to much power and he explodes, restoring the Siege Perilous to them. Miles leaves the fate of his universe in Spider-Woman's hands and returns to stay in Earth alongside his mother Rio Morales. Mary Jane manages to control the Carnage symbiote, and eventually becomes Spider-Woman. Scarlet Spider reveals himself alive, and he teams up once more with Spider-Man to fight Doc Ock, Arnim Zola and their new army of the evil "Spider Slayers": Bone Spider, Ghost Spider and Goliath Spider. Scarlet Spider feigns joining Zola again and together with Spider-Man and the Web Warriors they defeat Zola and the Spider Slayers. Doc Ock takes nanotech which allows him to move into a new body and HYDRA Island sinks into the ocean. They go back to the Triskelion but the S.H.I.E.L.D. Trainees, unaware of Scarlet Spider's reformation, attack him. An evil clone of Spider-Man, known as Kaine, attacks the Tri-Carrier and starts absorbing the heroes' powers by taking them out one by one. He also uses the Spider Slayers and becomes The Ultimate Spider Slayer, fighting them until Agent Venom manages to rescue Scarlet Spider from him and uses the energy transmitter to explode it. As Spidey's graduation day approaches, Doc Ock threatens to kill Aunt May. Spider-Man arrives at the Triskelion and unites with the New Warriors, the Web Warriors, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Trainees, some S.H.I.E.L.D. members, the Avengers and Doctor Strange. Doc Ock, with his new Superior Sinister Six, Kraven, Scorpion and then the unwilling members: Crossbones injected with lizard serum, Vulture and Rhino kidnap Spider-Man and inject him with an antidote which robs him of his powers. Spider-Man escapes to Oscorp and works with Norman to create a serum that grants him his spider powers back. He uses it to heal Crossbones, Vulture and Rhino and defeats Kraven and tricks Scorpion, before defeating him. Spider-Man then uses it to defeat and heal Doc Ock's monster form, on which Octavius is eventually convinced that Spider-Man shows respect on him despite all difficulties and redeems himself by helping Spider-Man undo the force-field he projected to destroy Spider-Man's teammates and graduation attendants. In the epilogue, Doctor Octopus eventually surrenders as he is taken under custody by Iron Man, Spider-Man successfully graduates as Agent Venom and Scarlet Spider are named the new teachers in S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. After a conversation with his Aunt May (after moving to another home), Peter eventually takes on his old super hero life satisfied to have finally become what he trained in S.H.I.E.L.D. to be: The Ultimate Spider-Man.

Trivia[]

  • This season takes place between Seasons 2 and 3 of Avengers Assemble, due to the fact that Captain America still wears his uniform from Seasons 1-2, Ant-Man still being with the Avengers and Crossbones still wears his costume and mask from Season 1. By Ultron Revolution, Captain America has a new uniform, Ant-Man has relocated to California and Crossbones has a new costume and mask. Additionally, it was stated in Ultron Revolution that Hydra is a fraction of its original strength, which was due to Spider-Man defeating them during this season.
  • This season had Doctor Octopus as the main antagonist, HYDRA (Arnim Zola, Crossbones, Morbius the Living Vampire, & Baron Mordo) as the secondary antagonists, Wolf Spider as the Quaternity Antagonist, Spider Slayers (Kaine, Bone Spider, Goliath Spider, & Ghost Spider) as the Supporting Antagonists and the Sinister Six (Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Ultimate Green Goblin, Vulture, Hydro-Man, & Scorpion) as the tertiary antagonists.
  • The Sinister Six that are seen in the poster had Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Lizard and Green Goblin.
    • However the difference is that Lizard was only seen once and never joined the group again, Green Goblin never returned and got replaced by his Ultimate counterpart and Electro was only in one iteration of the group.
